blog 1

This is part of my first assignment in English 101 at LaGuardia Community College.

Well you see, i was born in Queens, New York, at St. John Hospital on Queens Blvd. I lived in Far Rockaway, Queens, from 6 weeks old all the way to 20 years old.
Beach life especially suits me. I love the relaxed and laid back nature living near a beach gives. There is more passion and flavor for life, as the ocean brings its beauty and harshness both in bounty. The smell of the sea, the common sight of Fisherman and Surfers dotting the horizon, the cool breeze that brings ever so needed relief on hot days, and harsh bone chilling winds in the winter. It is constantly beautiful year round. The beach requires your attention, and adaptation to live in harmony with it. I believe it has had a huge impact on my character and how i view the world, as I recognise it has on cultures with similar environments like Miami beach, Jersey Shore, Malibu Beach, and the various Caribbean and pacific islands many of my family and closest friends originate from.

Having said all that, i now live in Jackson Heights, Queens. The culture clash is very apparent. Not nealy as beautiful, and the appreciation for the abundance and passion of life is also missing in action. People are less tuned into their surroundings and more into......i dont know what. Its not social structures, thats for sure. People are afraid of their neighbors here, not because of any danger but because of these abritrary social norms established that dont allow for co-mingling with any one not in your immediate family. Even then its weird. I noticed how the relationship with my Mother and little Brother has changed. Its more friendly and warm, in a forced sort of way. As if to overcompensate interpersonal warmth in order to break through the social barrier of whats normal. I hate how curt and short interactions are here. It feels as if people are not living.

I love having a passion for everything i do. Now this may be because im Puerto Rican, because I notice the same inherent trait in my family and other Puerto Ricans i meet along the way in life. Its as if we are not comfortable unless we can express ourselves powerfully. Could be a hormonal or chemical imbalance haha. (I kid....sort of)

Now my personal history as opposed to the brain chemistry makeup that influences all my decisions. I am now 24 years old, born in January, I have an IQ of 142, making me a technical genius. I love History and Technology and information on how the world works, from mechanic engineering to sociology to art and physics. I am obsessed with finding out answers to things. Seriously i have a hunger for knowledge like you wouldn't believe, if i was born in any other non-Internet era, i would have killed myself or become a criminal outlaw out of sheer boredom.
My Personal heroes are all long dead save for a few. Jesus Christ and Alexander the Great chief among them. Everything i do is trying to find a balance between what the two of them would have done. Others would include Octavious Augustus Caeser (direct heir of Julius Caeser), Cyrus the Great, Hannibal Barca, King Richard the Lionheart of England (of the Third Crusade). Living ones would include Harry Constance (SEAL Team 2 member during Vietnam and training cadre NCO for SEAL Team 6), Russel Brand (pop star), Owen Cook (professional pick up artist and philosopher), Frank Rodriguez (Ramapo Police Officer and Caretaker for the Visions Summer Camp for the Blind).
I am a huge military buff. The personal reading book in my bag right now is "I am A SEAL Team Six Warrior: Memiors of an American Soldier" by Howard Wasdin and Stephen Templin. I have read over 60 military related books. Most are memoirs of former soldiers or exposes by investigative journalists. I absolutely love and adore anything or anyone that is about pushing personal boundaries and growing in skill and intelligence to accomplish great things. It started with the Military, because they are by far the most visual representation of those principals. Then when I could not join due to my skin condition, i sought out others. I found Owen Cook, an insane and insanely good personal motivational speaker and practitioner of chasing goals and overcoming limitations of the mind and body. He trains to have sex with the hottest women he can find, all around the world, and analyzes it with a collegiate level of attention to detail so that he can teach it to others. Very, very in depth topics having to do with gaps of perception and limiting beliefs and overcome basic systems in the brain designed to limit you and your behavior.
I don't read as many books as i should, though I wikipedia everything lol.
I am a huge tech geek. I love Cellphones and computers and wireless signals and programing languages. I just dont see anyway to make that profitable for myself. I know that sounds absurd to most people, but im talking making me a millionaire. Its a nice hobby, but the way intellectual property rights and corporate funding goes in these areas, im not gonna Steve Jobs or Bill Gates my way to millions with this field.
Which is why I am now in School!!!! I am here at LaGaurdia, about to switch my major to Accounting from Paralegal Studies. I love the universality of the utility and importance of Accounting. That's very big for me because i want to see the world and experience most it has to offer. Accounting can make me the money i need to do that, and is needed everywhere civilization has set up camp, so i should be in demand most places I travel to.

Ok, in conclusion this was a very broad outline of the important things i think are necessary to understand me. Most likely wont make much sense to many other people, but hey, you guys should have been around when i was writing this thing. So meh to you! ;) I hope this is satisfactory to my English Professor Dr. Vasileiou. The rest of you......why did you read this?? lol im happy you took the time, I really appreciate it, its flattering, but why did you?
